Careers Information for Teachers
Ousedale School is committed to providing comprehensive and good quality information, advice and guidance to all students to prepare them for the next steps in their education, training or employment and enable them to make effective decisions for the future about a wide range of career pathways whilst raising aspirations and challenging stereotypes.
A wide range of activities are arranged that inspire young people, including employer talks, motivational speakers, workshops, mock interviews, workplace visits, college and university visits and careers fairs as well as the many Careers related activities that are incorporated into classroom teaching.
The Careers Team schedule one-to-one meetings to provide support to students regarding GCSE options, post 16 options and other key points throughout the year.
Please be assured that we do not take students out of Maths, English or Science to attend a careers session.
This is based on The Gatsby Benchmarks which is a framework of 8 guidelines that define the best careers provision in secondary schools.
