Once again congratulations are in order for our Year 11 students - we are delighted that the hard work of both students and staff has been rewarded. Our results show that high standards from previous years have been maintained with 78% of students achieving the standard set by the government in English and maths. The results for 2019 have surpassed the excellent results of 2018.
It is also pleasing to see that many other subjects have delivered outstanding results with the new reformed and more challenging GCSEs. The top grades account for over a quarter of all grades awarded this year.
Some of our top performing students include:
Gloria Chen (9 – 9s, 8, 2 – A*s), Lauryn Roberts (9 - 9s, 8, A*) Amelie Ward (9 – 9s, 2 – 8s), Ella Surman (8 – 9s, 2 – 8s, A), Sarah Lawman (8 – 9s, 2 – 8s), , Ella Allen (7 – 9s, 8, 2 – 7s, A*), Leo Freeland (6 – 9s, 3 – 8s, 7, A), Rowan Thomas (5 – 9s, 2 – 8s, 7, 6, D*, A*), Radhika Raichura (5 – 9s, 3 – 8s, D*).
Not only are these results a testimony to the hard work that students and staff have put in over the last two years but they also demonstrate excellent levels of parental involvement. We are looking forward to welcoming many students into our sixth form and whether this is their chosen route or not we wish all of our Year 11 students every success in their chosen pathways.
