Once again congratulations are in order for our Year 11 students - we are delighted that in spite of the increased challenge in all areas of the curriculum, the hard work of both staff and students has been rewarded. Our results show that a fantastic 77%, increase of 5%, of our students have achieved the standard set by the government in English and maths.
The school also exceeded national expectations for the number of students achieving the very top grade in English and maths with 57 students achieving a grade 9.
Some of our top performing students include:
Georgina Austin-Crowe (4A*s, 7As), Ben Brear (5A*s, 6As) Alex Bruce (2A*s, 10As), Alexander Hill (4A*s, 7As), Nathan Hsiao (4A*s, 9As), Holly Jones (7A*s, 5As), Mark McCoubrey (9A*s, 3As), Dominic Seager (3A*s, 9As), Rhys Stickland (9A8s, 3As), Ayla Webb (10A*s, 1A).
Worthy of mention is also Haneen Kheir who achieved grades well above her targets.
Not only are these results a testimony to the hard work that students and staff have put in over the last two years but they also demonstrate excellent levels of parental involvement. We are looking forward to welcoming many students into our sixth form and whether this is their chosen route or not we wish all of our Year 11 students every success in their chosen pathways.
