Who we are

Who We Are

 Caroline Barrass – PTA Chair

In 2020, I volunteered to be Treasurer for the Ousedale School PTA. Having done that for close to three years, I recently stepped in as Chair of the Committee.  I have two daughters at Ousedale Newport Pagnell campus and my son is due to start Year 7 in September 2023.  I very much admire Ousedale School’s aspiration to make so many educational opportunities available to the students. I believe that all our students deserve a first -class education with access to all the resources required, but I’m also aware that there has been a serious short-fall in funding for state secondary schools for many years now. I hope that, as Chair of our PTA, I can help with fundraising and fill some of the immediate funding gaps. If we’re successful as a PTA, and as a wider school community, I would like to think we could go on to achieve even more and raise additional funds for new and exciting projects that add even more value to our children’s educational experience.  Please don't hesitate to contact us if you want to know more of have any new fundraising ideas.

Sarah Beesley - PTA Treasurer

I joined the PTA as Treasurer in May 2023 as I wanted to help support the school and families. I have a son in year 8 at Newport Pagnell campus and a younger son who will hopefully join in the future. I have previously been Treasurer at my children’s preschool and saw the benefits of being involved in fundraising.

Sam Seward - PTA Secretary

I joined the PTA when my daughter started in Year 7 in September 2022. Being part of the PTA is a great way to support the school and getting involved to help raise ever needed funds and support in whatever way we can. It is also a window into school life. It gives a better understanding of our kid's journey through school and how as a PTA we can help improve that with the extra funds we can raise and support we can give to all members of the school community.

Eleanor Bibby (PTA Vice Chair)

I joined the PTA in September 2022, when my daughter joined Year 7, my son left Year 11 in June 2022.  I helped out on the PTA at my children’s primary school and now my youngest has moved up I thought this would be a great opportunity!  As a family, we organise the Soapbox derby and the town's annual fireworks display!

Anna Shotton

I've supported my children's schools from Pre-school through to Infant and Primary School and now Secondary, both on PTA's and as a Governor.  It's a great way to stay involved with what's going on in the school as well as getting to know the staff and how things work.  Raising money for the extra things they need is a rewarding way of helping out and I know it's appreciated.

Vicky Stock

I have a daughter in year 11 and a daughter in year 8. I have been a member of the PTA since 2020 and have enjoyed helping at events and interacting with students. I was a member of my daughters’ primary school PTA and have seen how the extra funds raised by a PTA can make a difference to students and teachers and was keen to try to help at Ousedale.

Rosey Fergusson

A recent joiner, I enjoyed contributing to my primary school PTA and am looking to supporting Ousedale in providing some of the needed resources which are sadly not always available. I have a son in Year 10. I work as an IT consultant, and I am also enjoying meeting other parents.

Stephanie Duell

I joined the PTA November 2023, as my eldest daughter started in year 7 at the Olney campus. I thought it would be a good way to get involved in helping the school raise much needed funds and be fun to join the exciting fundraisers that the team put on. I like the idea of community and giving back. I come from a busy household with 3 children, 2 young SEN children and understand the importance of putting on activities that are inclusive to all.

Ursula Watkins

I have a son in Year 10 and currently work as a teacher at another school within MK.  I think it's important to be involved within the PTA to understand the concerns and issues and how we can help support students throughout their time at Ousedale.

School Liaison - Stuart Phipps, Director of Pastoral and Academic Standards KS3

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) I am pleased to be working with the PTA and provide a direct link between the PTA and the school. I have been working at Ousedale for over 9 years now and started here as a newly qualified teacher (NQT) back in 2014 as a teacher of PE.

Over my 9 years I have progressed through the school as a middle leader in vocational education. Recently I have completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) which has enabled me to gain a position for this academic year.

I hope to be able to continue to support the PTA in the fantastic work that they do in, supporting our students here at Ousedale School.
