Physical Education at Ousedale School

All staff within the Physical Education Department strive to ensure that physical activity is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Students are encouraged to work hard, not only to improve their individual performance, but also to understand the positive effects of regular exercise on the body. Learning to co-operate and compete as part of a team are seen as very important parts of each student's development, as is an appreciation of a wide variety of activities.

Competition is provided at several levels with opportunities for lunch time and after school training, inter-form and inter-school matches. We are always delighted that so many of our students progress to compete to very high standards. We offer opportunities in hockey, netball, soccer, rugby, cricket, tennis, rounders, basketball, squash, gymnastics, trampolining, aerobics, dance, badminton and table-tennis.
