What you have to do
1. Nitrogen cycle
Draw out a sequence of events from nitrogen in the air to the protein in plants. You can start with the nitrates in the soil as the centre of a spider diagram or flow chart
2. Diabetes
Compile a report to be presented to the class. You can research different aspects of the disease. This can include
i) The causes of diabetes, including Type 1 and Type II
ii) What happens if a diabetic has insufficient glucose in the blood, i.e. is hypoglycaemic
iii) The research of Banting and Best and why they got the Nobel Prize.
iv) The Importance of diet for a diabetic
3. Human Genome project
Research the Human genome project. Find out why was it done, how was it done and how long it took. Try to find out if there are any practical aspects to the research.
