Background Information

Many drivers hate speed cameras, but supporters say they save lives and improve the quality of life for people living near fast and busy roads.

What you  have to do

Find out about the different types of speed cameras. Describe, and explain if you can, how each type measures the speed of a car.

Present the different opinions about speed cameras (eg, from the police, the AA, Top Gear, campaigning websites) and any evidence that shows whether or not they have a positive effect.
