Law Reform

In order to fully appreciate the workings of the creation of law we need to recognise the bodies involved in examining and appraising the current laws.  Carefully created bodies meet to discuss the flaws and inconsistencies that exist with current Acts of Parliament, taking into consideration any issues that may have been highlighted by superior judges in cases through their judgements.

A breakdown of the topic:

a) The need for an independent law reform body

b) Law Reform Committee

c) Criminal Law Reform Committee

d) The Law Commission

e) Royal Commission

Assessment:

You will be assessed on this topic in line with OCR standards.  The assessment will be a past paper question.  This question will test your knowledge and application of that knowledge to AS Level exam standard. Click here to access the question.
