Enrichment

Extra-curricular and enrichment activities play an essential part in enhancing the educational experience of all our students as well as supporting the development of non-cognitive skills and well-being. The enrichment programme offers a diverse and exciting range of activities that challenge students to move out of their comfort zones.

Enrichment activities will take place in alternate half terms during Wednesday lesson 5. Some of these activities extend beyond the school day or involve taking students off-site.

Our students are living in an increasingly complex and challenging world, which calls for empowered and resilient young people who can play an active role in choosing their own paths. The Enrichment programme aims to develop student character and PRIDE (Partnership, Resilience, Integrity, Determination, Effort).

Enrichment activities fall broadly into one of the following areas:

•    Cultural enrichment e.g. music, drama, art
•    Physical enrichment e.g. sports teams, Duke of Edinburgh, dance
•    Intellectual enrichment e.g. learning an additional language, science, debating
•    Community Enrichment e.g. gardening, work experience, Young Enterprise
